Meet the Doctors
Spencer DuBro, O.D.
Dr. Spencer DuBro is a native of Dayton, OH. Dr. DuBro obtained a BS degree in Biology from Bowling Green State University, followed by pursuing his optometry degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, graduating in 2023. During his time in optometry school, Dr. DuBro embarked on clinical externships that took him to various locations, including Manchester, New Hampshire, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Bloomington, Indiana, and Cincinnati, Ohio. These experiences allowed him to develop a strong foundation in complete primary care and medical eye care, specializing in ocular diseases such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, and allergies.
Dr. DuBro is an active member of the American Optometric Association along with the Ohio Optometric Association. He is also a third-generation business owner and second-generation optometrist. Dr. DuBro is proud to continue the family legacy in the field of optometry and follow in the footsteps of his grandfather, Dr. Allen DuBro.
Dr. DuBro is excited to bring his expertise and passion for exceptional eye care to the community and will start seeing patients in the summer of 2024
Marian Mekhaiel, O.D.
Dr. Marian Mekhaiel received her undergraduate degree from the University of Cincinnati; Pre- optometry. El Minia university Egypt: Bachelor of Art. After her undergraduate career, she continued to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Salus University, graduating in 2021.
The reason I became an optometrist is: I have always enjoyed helping people. Being an Optometrist has allowed me to help patients achieve their visual needs and therefore help them do the things they enjoy. This can re-open their world of possibilities and create new adventures. Optometry is also a very social profession that allows me to interact and learn about so many different people every day, which is something I really love.
My favorite part of helping my patients is: This is one of the few medical professions that for most of the time, allow us to improve our patients’ lives immediately by giving them the proper correction, which is very fulfilling. In my spare time, I enjoy: Traveling, hiking, cooking, and serving at my church.
Valerie Mangold, O.D.
Dr. Valerie Mangold is a native of Springboro, OH. Dr. Mangold stayed in the Dayton area for undergrad, followed by pursuing her optometry degree at The Ohio State University, graduating in 2019. Since graduating, Dr. Mangold has been serving the Miami Valley ever since. She is a second-generation optometrist, following in the footsteps of her father.
When not in the office, she enjoys hot yoga, performing aerial hoop and silk routines, reading classic books, and painting landscapes that occasionally include her tubby tabby Pierogi.
